Optimation first SilverStripe partner in NZ

SilverStripe NZ has signed on Optimation as the first New Zealand partner to joins its global partner program.

SilverStripe is a web-based platform used to build intranets, websites and applications and is currently in use by organisations such as Air New Zealand, the Department of Internal Affairs and a number of regional, district and city councils. SilverStripe made a name for itself overseas after being the website platform for the US Democratic National Convention website that supported Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Optimation Managing Director Martin Butler said, “This partnership leverages the combined strengths and capabilities of two innovative and successful New Zealand technology companies.”

SilverStripe has increased revenue in the last two years and was ranked 37th in the 2009 Deloitte Fast 50 awards.

SilverStripe Head of Sales and Marketing Lee Middleton said, “We’ve grown revenue by 190% in two years, showing that demand for open source web technology is very healthy in current economic conditions. Optimation provides SilverStripe with another opportunity to grow market share.”

SilverStripe was founded in 2000 and has around 40 staff in its Wellington and Melbourne offices.
