Oracle launches role-based AI agents for HR solutions

Today

Oracle has introduced role-based AI agents within its Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, aiming to enhance HR processes, improve employee experience, and increase workforce productivity.

The new AI agents are designed to automate time-consuming workflows such as onboarding, performance reviews, and compensation management. Chris Leone, Executive Vice President of Applications Development at Oracle, noted, "The amount of time employees spend on complex HR processes can be overwhelming and distract from their primary job responsibilities. The new AI agents in Oracle Cloud HCM help HR and business leaders automate some of the most time-consuming tasks, enabling employees to focus on work that really matters, and unlocking new levels of productivity across their workforce."

The AI agents, now available to customers, offer tailored career support, automate administrative tasks, and streamline processes ranging from onboarding to performance reviews. The aim is to allow employees to dedicate more time to impactful work.

In career and performance development, the AI agents provide various features. These include a Career Planning Guide which assists employees in crafting actionable career progression plans, and a Performance and Goals Assistant which helps in setting and achieving performance objectives. Additionally, a Learning and Training Advisor recommends specific opportunities for skills and career advancement.

The AI agents also play a role in compensation and benefits management. They include a Timecard Assistant for automated timecard submissions, a Tax Withholding Guide to assist with tax selections, a Compensation Guidelines Analyst for salary decision insights, and a Leave and Absence Analyst to help navigate policies.

Employee lifecycle management is another area covered by these agents. For example, the New Hire Onboarding Assistant offers guidance through the onboarding process, and the Job Seeker Analyst supports internal career mobility. The agents also include a Perks and Awards Analyst to maximise company benefits, and a Personal and Employment Details Assistant to manage personal and employment data.

The Employee Contracts Analyst assists employees with contract management, simplifying the comprehension of terms and conditions by summarising clauses.

As part of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite, Oracle Cloud HCM aims to connect HR processes from hiring to retirement, providing a unified platform for managing human resources. The embedded AI capabilities serve as an advisor to support workforce data analysis and business operations enhancement.
