Oracle NetSuite launches new Salesforce data integration tool

Tue, 10th Sep 2024

Oracle NetSuite has announced a new integration aimed at assisting joint Salesforce customers in managing their data more efficiently. The NetSuite Connector for Salesforce is designed to automatically share data between the two platforms, reducing data silos, speeding up order-to-cash and revenue recognition processes, and enhancing business insights.

Gary Wiessinger, Senior Vice President of Application Development at Oracle NetSuite, highlighted the previous challenges faced by joint customers. “In the past, joint customers had to conduct manual batch updates or use third-party integration products to harmonize data between the two platforms,” he stated. “With NetSuite Connector for Salesforce, joint customers can align data in both applications to expand visibility into order details, customer and contact information, order fulfilment details, and financial information like invoices, payments, and sales. As a result, customers will be able to improve both the speed and accuracy of business processes and decision-making.”

The integration offers a new level of data sharing and unification between Salesforce and NetSuite, potentially leading to better CRM experiences. Nick Johnston, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Salesforce, explained the potential benefits. “Together, Salesforce and NetSuite will help businesses get the most from their data regardless of where it resides. The ability to share and unify data between our platforms will provide a foundation to enable improved CRM experiences, from automated workflow to AI-powered agents,” he said.

NetSuite Connector for Salesforce operates via the Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), which is known for its secure, industry-leading integration services. This service allows customers to set up, manage, and monitor data flows through a self-serve interface in NetSuite.

The new connector provides advantages in several critical areas:

Financial management: The integration aims to enhance financial insights and accelerate decision-making by giving users real-time access to NetSuite financial data within Salesforce. This includes information such as invoices, payments, credit limits, and due amounts.

Customer management: The connector automates updates between Salesforce and NetSuite customer records, improving profile accuracy and enhancing customer insights.

Item management: By syncing inventory, non-inventory, and service items—as well as item pricing—between NetSuite and Salesforce, the connector aims to prevent customer issues and improve the consistency and quality of product information.

Order management: The tool enhances the accuracy of order records and expands visibility into sales opportunities by automatically syncing sales orders in both NetSuite and Salesforce.
