Pax8 adds Commvault to cloud commerce marketplace for SMBs

Today

Pax8 has announced the inclusion of Commvault, a provider of cyber resilience and data protection solutions, in its cloud commerce marketplace.

The inclusion of Commvault in the Pax8 Marketplace marks a new option for small to midsized businesses seeking comprehensive data protection. Commvault Cloud unifies all the company's Software as a Service (SaaS) and software offerings into one platform, which is aimed at hybrid cloud organisations and promises the lowest total cost of ownership. This solution is said to offer cloud-based data security combined with rapid, enterprise-scale recovery and employs advanced artificial intelligence to secure data across various environments.

Ryan Burton, Vice President of Marketplace Vendor Strategy at Pax8, stated, "The addition of Commvault underscores our continued commitment to bring enterprise-level solutions to our managed service providers to deliver to their small to midsized business customers. In addition to being the only vendor partner in Pax8's Marketplace to backup Salesforce, Commvault Cloud can protect the broadest set of cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments and applications, including Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Entra ID, which provide the flexibility and configurability that our partners want in a data protection solution."

Commvault Cloud is designed to offer users full control over where their data is stored, providing the option to select a country that aligns with a Microsoft Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region for in-country data residency. This control, combined with the ability to choose data placement across primary and secondary storage tiers, is aimed at optimising cost and performance for businesses.

Alan Atkinson, Chief Partner Officer at Commvault, commented on the partnership by saying, "MSPs are a critical component of Commvault's channel-first strategy and a key pillar for our future business. Today, we are excited for this new partnership to have Pax8 join our growing partner ecosystem and to be listed in the Pax Marketplace. Through this partnership, Pax8's growing global MSP community will now have access to the Commvault Cloud Platform, arming them with an industry-leading suite of solutions that will enhance their customers' cyber resilience."

Commvault's solutions aim to provide managed service providers with the flexibility to offer top-tier data protection services to small businesses, ensuring a level of cybersecurity and data management traditionally reserved for larger enterprises. The company's focus on innovation and adaptability is intended to help small businesses minimise risks, manage costs effectively, and reduce operational downtime.

The announcement took place at Pax8's partner event, Beyond EMEA: Berlin 2024, where Commvault was also featured as a Diamond sponsor and exhibitor.
