Pigment launches AI Analyst Agent to transform business plans

Fri, 28th Mar 2025

Pigment has announced the launch of its first AI tool, Analyst Agent, as part of its business planning platform.

The new Analyst Agent is the initial offering in a series of AI agents designed by Pigment to facilitate enhanced business decision-making processes. These tools aim to address challenges faced by companies in adapting their strategies to rapidly changing global conditions, such as the impact of ongoing tariff negotiations.

The AI agents from Pigment are particularly targeted at higher-level business contexts, with the goal of aiding senior decision-makers in steering company strategy. Announcing this development, Pigment highlights its expansion over the past year, which included a surge in customer numbers by 50% and the launch of more than 150 new features. The company's Annual Recurring Revenue reportedly doubled year-on-year, with a significant customer base growth in North America.

James Jackson, Global Head of GTM Planning, Compensation and Systems at Snowflake, expressed the benefits of working with Pigment. "A successful RevOps team needs the agility to move quickly and iterate. There's the plan you make and then you inevitably find you need to adjust," he stated. "Pigment has been instrumental in helping us do this, facilitating the changes we need to make in a matter of hours and helping us be more agile."

Analyst Agent is intended to be just the beginning of a more extensive network of AI agents that Pigment plans to introduce. These autonomous agents are designed to transform traditional approaches by carrying out complex and time-consuming tasks, freeing up teams to focus on strategic actions. Pigment has set up a roadmap for the development of additional AI agents, including the Planner Agent and the Modeler Agent.

The Analyst Agent, which is currently available in private preview, has capabilities to analyse data trends from various sources, detect anomalies, and offer recommendations through different formats such as dashboards and reports. The Planner Agent, with specialized knowledge in finance and operations, will work to convert these insights into actionable business strategies, suggesting adjustments based on real-time factors.

The Modeler Agent will ensure the accuracy and relevance of data by autonomously updating and maintaining the underlying structures that support other agents' functionality.

For application within finance teams, the AI agents can automate budget variance analyses, offering prompt identification of risks or opportunities and proposing strategic responses when discrepancies arise. Sales Operations teams benefit from more efficient forecasting and planning processes, while demand planners can produce more accurately informed forecasts using the Planner Agent's capabilities.

Eléonore Crespo, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Pigment, spoke about the evolution of AI and its integration into business processes. "AI is evolving and so is our ability to equip teams with innovative tools that empower extraordinary outcomes," she said.

"As we enter this agentic era, we are transforming the dynamics of business operations by seamlessly integrating AI agents into traditional workforces. What was once a stretched team of professionals is now significantly enhanced by the support of numerous AI agents, enabling them to achieve more than ever before. Today's announcement broadens the horizons of what teams can accomplish, empowering them to make rapid, informed decisions and attain exceptional efficiency, all while driving their businesses forward at an unparalleled pace."
