FYI, this story is more than a year old

Results.com is a pioneer in the field of ‘Business Execution Software’, a set of tools which help company directors to keep a close eye on strategy execution across their businesses.

CEO Ben Ridler says registering the app is a big step forward in giving travelling executives the ability to realistically run their businesses, "From the palm of their hands for the first time in history.”

Ridler recently demonstrated the app for TechDay; in effect, Results.com’s software is akin to a social media platform, facilitating interaction between staff members in their pursuit of various tasks and goals. It integrates elements of game theory, which is the study of strategic decision-making, and gamification, which is the use of game thinking and mechanics to enhance non-game contexts.

"Getting the app registered is quite a process; however, having run the app internally as a trial over several months, we were confident in passing the various quality control and other requirements,” he explained at the demonstration.

The app is an extension of a cloud-based service which is used by companies across Australasia and North America.

The free app is intended to enhance the service for existing clients and therefore has a very specific appeal (although Ridler says it can be downloaded as a demo by any interested party). A local success story, Results.com has recently opened a second office in Canada, while it also maintains a presence in Los Angeles, USA.
