Rubrik expands executive team, appoints Kavitha Mariappan CTxO

Rubrik has appointed Kavitha Mariappan as its Chief Transformation Officer (CTxO).

Mariappan assumes the newly created role as Rubrik expands its executive leadership, bringing experience from previous positions at Zscaler, Databricks, and Cisco. Most recently, she was Executive Vice President of Customer Experience and Transformation at Zscaler, where she contributed to the development of the company's CXO and Transformation Practice and helped increase annual recurring revenue tenfold. Her work centred on advancing Zero Trust Security and IT modernisation strategies.

At Rubrik, Mariappan is expected to work closely with customers, prospective clients, and go-to-market teams to deepen executive engagement, accelerate market adoption, and lead major customer transformation efforts. According to the company, her appointment will assist in consolidating Rubrik's role as a trusted partner to both public sector and enterprise clients in areas including cyber resilience, regulatory compliance, and best practices.

The addition of Mariappan follows another recent appointment to Rubrik's Executive Leadership Team, with Nicole Perlroth, author and cybersecurity journalist, joining as Chief Cyber Raconteur.
