Thu, 7th Nov 2024

Scott Armul is set to assume a new leadership role at Vertiv as Executive Vice President, starting 1 January 2025.

Armul will oversee engineering research and development at Vertiv and manage the company's core business units, which include thermal management, power management, IT systems, and global services. He will report directly to Vertiv CEO, Giordano (Gio) Albertazzi.

With a career at Vertiv spanning over a decade, Armul brings extensive experience in strategic and customer-focused positions. He expressed enthusiasm about the new role, stating, "My experience across technical, leadership and customer-oriented roles at Vertiv has provided deep insights into our business and how we deliver value to the market. This is an exciting, dynamic time to be in our industry, and we are well positioned to enable the rapid pace of evolution. I'm looking forward to joining the executive team and continuing to drive excellence in our business units and our portfolio of solutions."

Armul began his journey with Vertiv in 2009 as an MBA intern in business planning and development. He subsequently moved into a full-time strategic planner role in 2010. Over the years, he has held positions such as Senior Marketing Manager for Vertiv Services, Director of AC Power Product Management, and Vice President and General Manager of DC Power and Outside Plant Solutions for the Americas. His most recent position was Vice President of Global Strategic Accounts, where he achieved increased order volume with customers while executing strategic initiatives linked to Vertiv's growth.

Albertazzi voiced confidence in Armul's new capacity within the company. He commented, "During a time when AI is driving unprecedented demand for compute, our customers rely on our innovation and technology stewardship. With his knowledge of the business and industry, strategic thinking, and great customer intimacy, I'm confident that Scott will guide Vertiv's global portfolio and business units to intensely lead the industry and more rapidly and profoundly enable our customers to achieve their infrastructure business objectives."

As previously announced, Stephen Liang, Vertiv's Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Products and Solutions, will shift his focus to CTO responsibilities, concentrating on defining the vision and strategy for future technology developments. Armul and Liang are expected to play pivotal roles in guiding the future technological direction of Vertiv.

The appointment comes at a time when markets are experiencing increasing demands, driven by advancements in AI and digital infrastructure. Armul's new role underscores Vertiv's commitment to adapting and expanding its portfolio to meet these evolving needs.
