Second UFB retail deal for Telecom

Thu, 12th Apr 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Exactly one month after announcing a deal with Christchurch UFB builder Enable, Telecom has announced a second Retail Service Provider (RSP) agreement, this time with central North Island builder Ultrafast Fibre (UFF).

The builder’s coverage area includes the urban areas of Cambridge, Hamilton, Hawera, New Plymouth, Tauranga, Tokoroa, Te Awamutu and Wanganui.

Maxine Elliott, CEO of UFF, says the deal is a significant step forward in rolling out fibre in the region.

"Our partnership will deliver new services that create economic value for the region,” Elliott says, "with our initial focus on the business, health and education sectors.”
