Sekuro launches Zero Trust Strategy service on AWS Marketplace
Tue, 20th Feb 2024

Sydney-based cybersecurity firm Sekuro has announced the launch of its Zero Trust Strategy services on the world-renowned Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. Notably, Sekuro is the first organisation to offer Zero Trust Strategy consulting services in the AWS Marketplace, doing so in partnership with leading vendors CrowdStrike, Zscaler, and Okta as part of its Zero Trust Alliance.

The consulting service comprises a thorough, logical, and technical cybersecurity review, ensuring the most effective fusion of Sekuro's cybersecurity modernisation strategies with ideal customer solutions. This combination aims to protect every user and every device, everywhere, every time. Okta's global research found that roughly 80% of organisations had increased budgets for security initiatives over the past year, with 60% reporting up to a 24% rise in funds allocated towards Zero Trust initiatives.

This data comes amidst increasing scrutiny from the Australian Federal Government on organisations' cybersecurity measures following the release of the new Australian Cyber Security Strategy. The government is also working towards building a government-wide Zero Trust culture.

Within the Zero Trust strategy, Sekuro emphasises endpoint and data protection, identity, and network access as the cornerstones of success. Accordingly, the firm formed the Zero Trust Alliance with leading global vendors addressing these areas. Sekuro CTO Jason Trampevski stated, "In the face of increased cyber awareness, we know that security budgets have remained resilient against market forces. We've also seen Zero Trust shift from a concept to an actionable strategy."

The launch on AWS Marketplace allows greater accessibility and convenience for clients purchasing and managing security services. With all costs associated with software licenses from CrowdStrike, Zscaler, and Okta consolidated, the process of achieving a comprehensive cybersecurity posture becomes more manageable for organisations looking to leverage their existing AWS capabilities.

Sekuro's unique Zero Trust Strategy services utilise the top-tier technology offered by the Alliance partners, combined with Sekuro's own local expertise, to offer a fully integrated solution. The framework developed by Sekuro, which is entirely customised based on each organisation's maturity level and unique needs, was developed in-house, seeing contribution from security professionals with vast experience in cybersecurity engineering, architecture and executive leadership on a global scale.

Jon Fox, Vice President of Channel APJ at CrowdStrike, affirmed the need for comprehensive security measures, noting that "62 per cent of interactive intrusions involved compromised identities," underscoring the effectiveness and timeliness of Sekuro's Zero Trust Strategy. Similarly, Foad Farrokhnia, Vice President, Channels & Alliances at Zscaler, highlighted the synergy resulting from the partnership of top leading security vendors and Sekuro's Zero Trust Strategy, particularly in the light of Australia's current cybersecurity strategy and action plan.
