SentinelOne & Advantage revolutionise AI-driven MDR in NZ

Tue, 4th Jun 2024

The future of managed detection and response (MDR) is set to be revolutionised by advances in generative artificial intelligence. SentinelOne, a global leader in AI-powered security, and Advantage, a prominent managed service, networking and security provider in New Zealand, have announced a significant partnership to bring this innovation to enterprises across the nation.

This collaboration will see Advantage integrate SentinelOne’s PurpleAI, an advanced AI security analyst, into its MDR service. This integration is designed to empower organisations to defend against increasingly sophisticated AI-driven attacks with equally advanced AI-driven solutions. The companies claim that SentinelOne is setting a precedent in the field of generative AI, delivering a practical and transformative AI-security analyst to the market.

“Many vendors are talking about generative AI, but SentinelOne is actually delivering it with an AI-security analyst that is transforming the way security operations work,” said Brad Pearpoint, Managing Director of Advantage. “Together with our managed service offerings, we can make top-tier Security Operations Centers (SOC) a reality for every business.”

Advantage Protect MDR, with SentinelOne technology at its core, offers organisations a comprehensive turnkey solution providing enterprise-grade protection across endpoints, servers, and cloud environments. The inclusion of PurpleAI enables the security team at Advantage to enhance their capabilities with an advanced AI solution that generates complex data queries from natural language inputs, anticipates the needs of security analysts, and recommends subsequent actions.

“With SentinelOne, we can effectively leverage the power of machine learning and behavioural analysis to dramatically accelerate mean time to investigation (MTTI) and mean time to remediation (MTTR), identifying and neutralising attacks for our customers in real-time,” added Pearpoint.

Advantage has a longstanding partnership with SentinelOne, spanning four years, and was recognised as the Asia Pacific and Japan Partner of the Year in 2023. Advantage is notably the only service provider in New Zealand that delivers NCSC Malware Free Networks threat intelligence and other pertinent insights via SentinelOne. Additionally, Advantage holds the highest-level SentinelOne SIREN incident response and containment certification available to partners.

Jim Cook, New Zealand Sales Director at SentinelOne, remarked, “Advantage is one of our premier partners across New Zealand and APJ, and we are pleased to be working with them to deliver comprehensive security without compromise to customers across the region. SentinelOne pioneered AI-powered security, and we will continue to innovate to transform how security teams manage the complexity of their environments and defend against threats.”

SentinelOne is renowned for its autonomous, AI-powered cybersecurity platform, which is built on the first unified Data Lake. This platform empowers clients by creating intelligent, data-driven systems that are capable of autonomous evolution, staying ahead of complexity and risk. SentinelOne's technology is trusted by leading organisations around the world, including Fortune 10, Fortune 500, and Global 2000 companies, as well as significant government entities.

The partnership between SentinelOne and Advantage marks a substantial step forward in bolstering cybersecurity capabilities for businesses in New Zealand, offering them cutting-edge tools and intelligence to tackle modern security challenges efficiently and effectively.
