Simon de Winter Group partners with MCG for supply chain revamp

Thu, 6th Nov 2025

Simon de Winter Group has entered into a partnership with Middlebank Consulting Group (MCG) to overhaul its operations and supply chain processes across Australia and New Zealand.

Digital transformation

According to both companies, the agreement will see MCG undertake a digital transformation project aimed at enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and growth prospects for Simon de Winter Group. The initiative will span the group's entire range of brands, which include Nala, Corvin Brands, and Nancy Ganz, all of which supply socks, hosiery, lingerie, and lifestyle products to major department stores, as well as serve online customers within the region.

MCG, founded in New Zealand over 25 years ago and operational in Australia since 2003, specialises in supply chain and value chain management. The consultancy has expanded its operations over recent years, now active in Singapore, India, the United States, and the Middle East. Its focus is on operational efficiency, process optimisation, and technology-driven supply chain solutions, working with companies to boost performance while reducing costs.

Operational focus

The collaboration with Simon de Winter Group is centred on several key areas: redesigning warehouse layouts, improving internal processes, and aligning enterprise resource planning (ERP) with warehouse management systems (WMS). In addition, the partnership aims to leverage forecasting and analytics to enhance inventory management and ensure reliable fulfilment for both B2B and eCommerce channels.

Simon de Winter, Owner and Managing Director, said:

"Partnering with MCG allows us to harness innovative systems and smart processes to make our operations more efficient and scalable. It ensures we can continue delivering high-quality products to our customers while supporting growth across our business."

MCG CEO and Founder Alan Win commented on the ambitions of Simon de Winter Group, saying:

"Simon de Winter Group is a well-established brand across Australia and New Zealand with ambitious growth plans. By combining operational expertise with technology-enabled solutions, we are helping them build a resilient, future-ready supply chain that supports both strategic business goals and day-to-day operational excellence."

Enhancing performance

The partnership aims to deliver measurable improvements in both operations and supply chain management, with a focus on long-term efficiency, scalability, and customer service. Both parties expect the changes to result in enhanced productivity, operational capacity, and more consistent fulfilment capabilities.

Simon de Winter Group supplies its products to major retail partners, including David Jones, Myer, Big W, and Target. In addition to wholesale distribution, it manages a direct-to-consumer business through online platforms, including Kayser and Fine Lines, aiming to broaden its reach among men, women, and children across Australia and New Zealand.

MCG, having worked with more than 150 organisations across various sectors and countries in the past 25 years, reports that it has helped clients reduce operating costs by an average of 15% and implement new technologies to improve business and supply chain performance. The consultancy's cumulative experience includes over 225 years across its team.

The new partnership builds on a period of expansion for both companies, with MCG's recent growth into the Middle East and the United States, and Simon de Winter Group's continuous efforts to deliver practical, comfortable, and stylish products across the apparel and fashion industry in the region.
