Sircel appoints new COO & Chair to lead growth strategy
Sircel, Australia's largest e-waste recycling processor, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Brendon Wright as Chief Operations Officer and Angie Bradbury as Chair of the Board of Directors.
Brendon Wright, bringing 30 years of experience in operations and manufacturing leadership, will oversee Sircel's expanding operational framework. His role will focus on enhancing processes to meet the increasing demand for e-waste and solar panel recycling across Sircel's facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
Angie Bradbury, formerly Sircel's Marketing and Strategy Director, has been appointed as the permanent Chair of the Board of Directors. With extensive board experience across various sectors, Bradbury is expected to provide significant insights into corporate governance, strategically guiding the company's commercial direction.
Sircel was founded in 2018 and has since become the leading e-waste recycler in the nation, committed to diverting up to 100% of end-of-life electronics from landfills. The organisation collaborates with major corporations and councils across Australia, ensuring that e-waste is recycled onshore and that essential commodities re-enter the circular economy.
Anthony Karam, Founder and CEO of Sircel, noted the significance of these new appointments for the company. "As we look to the future, we recognise that success at Sircel will not only require advanced technology and infrastructure, but also a leadership team focused on driving innovation and delivering results at scale. These appointments are designed to meet today's challenges and prepare the business for tomorrow's opportunities."
He further stated, "With their combined wealth of experience, Brendon and Angie will ensure Sircel remains at the forefront of our industry. They will drive corporate and operational excellence and support sustainable growth as we scale our operations."
Brendon Wright expressed his enthusiasm about joining Sircel during this time of growth. "I'm thrilled to be joining at this stage of the business, especially with the growing demand for responsible e-waste recycling in Australia. I'll be leading an efficient scale-up to meet market and government needs and ensuring our management and leadership practices stay strong as we grow. Making a meaningful, long-term impact on Australia's circular economy is our top priority."
Angie Bradbury echoed these sentiments regarding her new role. "In my time at Sircel, I've seen firsthand the dedication to innovation and sustainability that fuels our success. I look forward to this new chapter of the business and driving the strategic and commercial direction. It's a very exciting time for our business, and we remain as committed as ever to driving the circular economy for electronic waste. I'm confident that we are at the cusp of seeing a genuine circular economy for e-waste being realised – one where e-waste is recognised as valuable e-resources not something to be buried in landfill."
