Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, today announced that Gartner, Inc. has positioned Sitecore in the Leaders Quadrant of its recent 2010 report, “Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management.”

According to Gartner, the market for Web content management “continues to be vibrant” and is “likely exceed $1 billion in 2010.”

The report evaluated numerous Web Content Management (WCM) vendors based on a rigorous set of criteria that included customer experience, innovation, market understanding, marketing and sales strategy, product strategy and business model. The report noted, “Leaders should drive market transformation.
