FYI, this story is more than a year old

Brisbane - December 1, 2010Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System software (CMS), today announced that the ATP, the governing body of men’s professional tennis circuits, is extending its investment with Sitecore for new mobile products to broaden and deepen engagement with tennis fans and professional players worldwide. Using Sitecore CMS, the ATP is successfully applying a multichannel marketing strategy, and effectively managing the creation and delivery of rich Web content and experiences with a small team of content sources, editors and translators.

“When we reviewed CMS solutions two years ago, Sitecore emerged as a clear choice given that it was the most flexible, scalable software to manage our high-traffic content across multiple sites in a variety of languages,” said John Phillips, senior vice president of digital marketing at the ATP. “Our Sitecore digital platform continues to support the ATP’s changing, multichannel needs as we create tennis experiences for a number of digital channels. And with our new mobile products, we are now able to extend the potential reach of the ATP World Tour to more than a billion mobile Web users.”

As the governing body of men's professional tennis circuits – The ATP World Tour, the ATP Challenger Tour and the ATP Champions Tour -- the ATP World Tour showcases the finest male athletes competing in the world’s most exciting venues.

ATPWorldTour.com was developed to create, publish and share content to help grow consumer interest and engagement in the ATP World Tour. Today’s ATP multilingual websites are the first of many to be built on top of a highly scalable digital platform that digital design, strategy, technology and marketing company Digitaria designed and developed with Sitecore’s CMS software.

The ATP sites are highly interactive and reflect the excitement of men’s professional tennis with live scores, ranking updates and video highlights. The ATP is cost-effectively managing digital media and marketing for the ATP World Tour Season consisting of 62 tournaments in 32 countries through improved workflows and automated content delivery. Sitecore enables the ATP’s diverse, global team to easily create, publish and share content for Web and mobile channels.

ATP’s high-performing team combined with Digitaria’s Web design expertise and the power of Sitecore CMS provides tennis fans and pros with engaging digital experiences – anywhere, anytime – that informs and unites the global tennis community,” said Erick Mott, vice president of community at Sitecore. “We are proud of this collaboration and inspired by the ATP’s digital marketing success.”
