Cisco’s enterprise, commercial and small-business manager, Tony Bates (pictured), is the new Chief Executive of Skype.
At Cisco Tony Bates was responsible for the firm's enterprise, commercial and small-business unit.
The move underlines Skype's new owner's (Silver Lake Partners) intent on driving the company forward following its purchase from eBay last year.
Bates also worked in Cisco’s voice technology group.
