SnapLogic improves Intelligent Integration Platform
Thu, 16th Jun 2022
FYI, this story is more than a year old

SnapLogic has released new features and improvements to its Intelligent Integration Platform, which will allow IT, data and business teams to make select processes faster and more straightforward.

The updates to SnapLogic's platform will simplify and speed up the integrating of data and applications, data services and business automation projects.

"These latest updates to the SnapLogic platform are perfectly timed to deliver new automated data preparation, new out-of-the box ELT connectors, and several API management enhancements aimed at advancing usability, productivity, and connectivity when creating data-driven services," SnapLogic CMO Dayle Hall says.

"Coming off our best fiscal year and our best quarter in the company's history, we're excited for these and future product innovations in the next few months as we continue to deliver better value and ROI to our customers and become the leader in cloud data warehouse automation capabilities."

SnapLogic notes that mission-critical systems-of-record in an enterprise have thousands of objects and a complex structure for each of these objects.

The company says that even with its features like AutoLink, which automatically map fields from source to destination, integrating data from these systems is still a tedious challenge.

SnapLogic AutoPrep uses patterns to construct a guided experience so that users can quickly prepare data in the proper format for the target system, making it easier to prepare data and speeding up data mappings by as much as 15 times compared with manual data prep scripting.

The latest releases will also help users automate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows to enable greater productivity for developers and DevOps teams in charge of integration lifecycles.

Further, the SnapLogic Public API will now allow soft deleting of Projects and Project Spaces, meaning that Projects and Project folders are deleted with the complete hierarchy.

SnapLogic will also add support for GitHub Enterprise for managing pipeline evolution and secrets management systems, including HashiCorp Vault, which affords customers complete control of secret keys used to access organisational accounts.

SnapLogic now offers out-of-the-box connectors for extract, load, and transform (ELT) processes.

This assists users in completing time-consuming data loading and transformation tasks faster and simplifies gaining value from data in key data warehouses such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, and Microsoft Azure Synapse.

In addition, this release includes new ELT Snaps for Router, String and Cast operations and improves ELT Aggregate and ELT Window Snaps by providing support for new functions.

It also allows a simpler pipeline design for complex aggregations and other workflows, resulting in shorter development cycles, better maintenance of ELT workloads and better performance for data transformations.

The product also helps to provide architectural simplicity within businesses by making discovering internal and external third-party APIs easier, including those that adhere to Open API Spec 3.0.

The API Catalog in the Developer Portal allows consumers to access all API endpoints, whether created within or outside the organisation, making it easier to use and speeding up their time-to-market as they develop new applications, API-led integrations, and API-led data services. Tool sprawl is also reduced due to the simplified discovery method.

The Patterns Catalog In SnapLogic Studio is also updated with this latest release, providing users with the means to easily find and adopt pre-built pipelines, known as Patterns, to integrate and automate business processes quickly.

SnapLogic's latest platform releases also include a range of improvements to foster greater employee productivity, usability, and connectivity.

New or updated Snaps and Snap Packs for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales, Coupa, Google Sheets and Drive, Amazon S3, and more are available with these new releases.

"To grow and compete, today's enterprises need both IT teams and business users to embrace the latest self-service integration and automation tools to boost productivity, speed business processes, and drive data-informed decisions, services, and actions," SnapLogic products vice president Mark Gibbs says.

"The ability to empower people, plus the versatility to adapt and evolve at the speed of business, are critical to driving lasting success. Here at SnapLogic we're dedicated to making it as easy and intuitive as possible for our customers to quickly build integrations, automate data pipelines, deliver data services, and use intelligent, low-code technology to improve how they do business."
