SNP extends CEO Jens Amail’s contract to December 2030

Mon, 19th Jan 2026

SNP has extended the contract of its Chief Executive Officer Jens Amail until December 2030, following an early renewal by the company's Supervisory Board.

Amail has led the Heidelberg-based software company since January 2023. The Supervisory Board said the renewal came ahead of schedule and reflected the company's recent operational performance and strategic development.

"Under Jens Amail's guidance, SNP has made significant progress across its key strategic priorities, strengthened its market position and delivered sustained operational improvements. The company has accelerated its international expansion and broadened its global partner ecosystem as the foundation for sustainable growth. Extending his contract is a clear signal of continuity and underlines our confidence in his leadership and the strong team he has built at SNP," said Willi Westenberger, Managing Director, Carlyle and Chairman, SNP's Supervisory Board.

Operational results

The company linked the early extension to performance since the end of 2022. It said it achieved annual records in order entry, revenue and EBIT during that period. SNP also reported a sustained increase in profitability.

SNP attributed that performance to an internationalisation and growth strategy. It said the strategy opened new markets and expanded the software business. It also cited wider collaboration across its ecosystem of partners.

The company did not provide updated guidance alongside the contract extension. It referenced revenue of EUR 254.8 million for the 2024 fiscal year.

Governance changes

SNP also connected the leadership period to governance and organisational changes. It said Amail played a key role in strengthening corporate governance and strategic stability.

The company highlighted a return to a dual governance structure with an Executive Board and a Supervisory Board. It also referred to the resolution of long-standing legal matters.

SNP said these steps provided a foundation for its future development. It did not give further detail on the legal matters in the announcement.

Product focus

On the product side, SNP pointed to the introduction of the SNP Kyano platform in 2024. The company described the launch as an evolutionary step in its product development.

SNP positions itself as a provider of software for data migration and management in SAP-focused IT environments. The company said its Kyano platform integrates its own offerings and partner products.

SNP also referenced its BLUEFIELD approach. It said it applies the approach to restructuring and modernising SAP-centric IT landscapes.

Carlyle partnership

The contract extension also comes after a strategic partnership with Carlyle, which the company said it entered into at the end of 2024. Westenberger, a Managing Director at Carlyle, serves as Chairman of SNP's Supervisory Board.

SNP said the partnership marked the next phase of its growth trajectory. It said it intended to accelerate strategy execution. It also said it planned further expansion of its global footprint.

The company said the CEO contract renewal would provide continuity as it moves into the next stage of its development.

SNP operates in more than 80 countries and said it serves more than 3,000 customers. It employs more than 1,600 people across more than 36 locations in 23 countries.

Westenberger said: "Extending his contract is a clear signal of continuity and underlines our confidence in his leadership and the strong team he has built at SNP."
