Spark appoints Tony Agar as Group Sales Regional Lead

Tony Agar has been appointed as its new Group Sales Regional Lead for its Northern region, with Michele Wong replacing Tony as IoT Lead.

As Group Sales Regional Lead, Agar will lead Spark Business Group's customer-facing teams, working with clients and partners from Northland to Palmerston North.

Tony started his Spark career at Telecom Business 15 years ago in Wellington and has worked across and led a number of Spark teams, including commercial, pricing, strategy, sales, marketing and solutions. Most recently, he was IoT Lead, holding responsibility for the development of Spark's Internet of Things business, growing it from 'day one' establishment to making a material contribution to Spark's revenues.

Wong will lead Spark's Internet of Things business which has been identified as a key future market for Spark.

She has been at Spark for the last twelve years and held a variety of roles across the company, including a range of strategy, commercial and product innovation, including acting GM of Group Strategy and Product Owner for IoT Solutions, responsible for leading a cross-functional team to grow IoT scaled solutions.

Wong also led the development and implementation of the 3-year plan for Spark's IoT business. Most recently, she was acting Product Chapter Area Lead, leading ~100 product chapter members across product management, product E2E, product marketing and trusted product chapter domains.
