Sumo Logic has launched an integration with Anthropic's Claude Compliance API, giving customers visibility into activity across Claude Enterprise and Claude Platform.

Available through Sumo Logic's app catalogue, the integration is aimed at security and compliance teams that want to monitor how Claude is used داخل their organisations.

It brings Claude audit log events into Sumo Logic alongside data from other software and infrastructure tools already monitored by customers. This includes administrator activity, user logins, API key lifecycle changes, file operations and changes to MCP servers.

Teams using Claude Enterprise can track user logins, administrator actions and configuration changes within the same environment they use for other operational and security data. Organisations using Claude Platform to build AI-based products can also monitor workspace changes, API key creation and file downloads.

Central visibility

The announcement reflects growing demand from companies expanding their use of generative AI tools while trying to keep pace with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Bringing logs from AI systems into existing monitoring platforms has become a priority for organisations that want the same oversight for new AI services as they have for established business applications.

The integration allows Claude-related activity to feed into Sumo Logic's monitoring, detection and response workflows. In practice, that places AI service logs in the same operational view as other software-as-a-service applications and infrastructure.

It also supports existing data loss prevention and archiving policies for Claude Enterprise activity. For security teams, centralised logging may help with internal investigations, access reviews and record-keeping tied to compliance obligations.

Developers, site reliability engineers and compliance teams are also among the intended users. By consolidating Claude logs with other enterprise data, Sumo Logic aims to make it easier for different teams to work from the same information when reviewing system activity or investigating incidents.

Ben Cody, Senior Vice President of product management at Sumo Logic, outlined the company's position on the launch.

"As enterprises accelerate AI adoption, ensuring secure and compliant usage is a top priority," Cody said.

He added: "By integrating our agentic AI-powered Intelligent Security Operations Platform with the Claude Compliance API, we are empowering security and compliance teams to maintain security, transparency, and accountability, while monitoring their Claude environments with the exact same rigor, real-time alerting, and centralized analytics they rely on for the rest of their technology stack."

AI oversight

The launch highlights how software suppliers are adapting observability and security products to account for the spread of AI models in corporate environments. As businesses move from experimentation to wider deployment, they face questions over who is using these systems, what data is being handled, how access is managed and whether activity can be audited.

For companies in regulated sectors, those questions can extend to retention policies, access controls and evidence gathering. Audit logs can form part of that process by recording administrative changes, authentication events and other actions that may need to be reviewed later.

Anthropic's Claude tools are being adopted by both enterprise users and software developers, creating a broad set of operational and governance needs. A business using Claude Enterprise may focus on staff access and policy controls, while a development team using Claude Platform may pay closer attention to workspace administration, API credentials and resource activity.

Sumo Logic is positioning the integration around those distinctions, with separate references to enterprise and developer use cases. In both cases, the central theme is the same: collecting Claude activity in one place alongside the rest of an organisation's security and operations data.

The integration is available immediately to existing customers through Sumo Logic's app catalogue.
