Susannah Redstone appointed as General Manager at Digital Island
Seasoned telecommunications leader, Susannah Redstone, has been appointed as General Manager, Solutions and Services, at cloud-based contact centre solutions provider, Digital Island. Having over 20 years of industry experience, with notable roles at TelstraClear, CallPlus, Spark, and most recently as Head of One NZ's Broadband and Vodafone TV, Redstone is expected to spearhead novel best practice solutions tailored to accommodate customer needs.
Redstone asserts the value of technology as an enabler in businesses. "New Zealand businesses can discover new ways to serve their customers and thrive in the digital era with the right guidance and support," she says. Calling attention to Digital Island's unique approach, she mentioned the importance of employing a strategic blend across technology, operational efficiency, and digital transformation to lead remarkable customer experience outcomes.
In a rapidly evolving telecommunications and digital landscape, Redstone acknowledges the investment uncertainties businesses might experience in the face of challenging financial conditions. She states her aim is to "cut through the noise", assisting Digital Island's clients to locate solutions that align with their needs – solutions that can augment their business and adapt to clients' evolving service expectations.
Digital Island's Chief Executive, Leon Sheehan, is thrilled about Redstone's engagement. "Contact Centres are transforming into hubs of innovation, combining artificial intelligence, augmented reality, sustainability, cyber security, and more, to create a seamless and personalised customer experience. Susannah knows how to turn tech advancements into real solutions and her focus on making people and businesses more connected and productive will be a big win for our clients," asserts Sheehan.
As an advocate for increased female representation in the tech industry, Redstone acknowledges the opportunities for women in the sector, despite often being in the minority during industry events. Her advice to aspiring individuals in the industry, circulating her career-guiding philosophy, is to "always be curious and embrace change."
