FYI, this story is more than a year old

Gigabyte Technology, a leading Taiwanese hardware manufacturer, has appointed Synnex New Zealand as a new distributor in New Zealand, effective immediately.

Gigabyte Technology Managing Director Alan Chen said: “New Zealand is an important market for Gigabyte due to the large percentage of early adopters and tech enthusiasts who recognise and demand good quality motherboards and VGA cards.”

“We are pleased to start working with Synnex New Zealand and look forward to offering our customers the best quality products with the best quality distribution and service.”

Synnex New Zealand, a subsidiary of the largest distribution company in the Asia Pacific region, expects to improve the availability and after sale service for Gigabyte PC components in the country.

Synnex Country Manager for New Zealand Richard Harri said: “Gigabyte is a world class manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, and our two companies at the headquarter level have enjoyed a 20-year long relationship. Synnex New Zealand’s appointment will allow us to help each other continue to reach our mutual goals.”

Synnex will carry the entire range of Gigabyte motherboards and graphics cards and will be handling the warranty process so that customers can take advantage of rapid replacement through the use of a swap pool of buffer stock.
