Tait chooses Google Apps
Wed, 7th Jul 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Tait Radio Communications, a provider of radio solutions, has picked Wellington-based WaveAdept to roll-out Google Apps to its 950 global users.

“Our global footprint across four continents meant we previously had a complex infrastructure of multiple email technologies and domains,” says George Elder, CIO Tait Electronics. “We selected Google Apps as it both simplified and standardised our infrastructure - and provided better ways for our staff to work and communicate together wherever they are.”

WaveAdept was picked to project manage the global migration to Google’s tools and will provide second-level support to Tait Electronics.

“Our biggest challenge was to successfully deliver a complex technical project – replacement of existing technologies and domains around the world – seamlessly,” added Mike Riversdale, Director WaveAdept.

Tait says that it’s already seeing benefits from Google Apps such as teams working effectively across regions, using a common calendar and sharing video content.
