TCS backs seven charities with pro bono tech support

Tata Consultancy Services has selected seven not-for-profit organisations in Australia and New Zealand for pro bono technology support through its Tech4HOPE programme. The initiative provides assistance in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
The selected organisations are Meals on Wheels NSW, Baby Give Back in Queensland, Women and Mentoring in Victoria, ANZUP Cancer Trials Group in New South Wales, Playgroup WA in Western Australia, RUN DIPG in New South Wales and Pregnancy Help in New Zealand.
TCS specialists will work with the groups to strengthen digital resilience, improve service delivery and address operational challenges. The support is intended to help community organisations protect data and build more sustainable operating models.
The programme has run in Australia since 2016 and is approaching its 10th anniversary. According to TCS, Tech4HOPE is now in its second decade.
The latest intake spans aged care, family support, cancer research, early childhood services and women's support. It also extends beyond Australia to include one organisation in New Zealand.
Local support
The initiative gives participating charities access to TCS staff for advice and project support in areas that can be difficult for smaller organisations to fund internally. Cybersecurity is a growing concern for not-for-profits handling sensitive client and donor information, often with limited technology budgets.
Digital transformation projects can also be difficult to prioritise for charities focused on frontline services. In that context, outside support can help organisations review internal systems, reduce manual work and improve access to services.
Vikram Singh, Vice President and Head of TCS Australia & New Zealand, described the programme as part of the company's broader community work.
"TCS as an organisation is committed to using technology to create meaningful community impact. Across the world, we see firsthand how technology can open doors, remove barriers and create opportunities for communities. Tech4HOPE is a crucial part of that commitment, enabling us to support a diverse range of causes each year through what we do best: technology. By connecting not-for-profit organisations with world-class expertise, we help strengthen operations, protect critical data and improve the services so they can serve more people. We are proud to support this year's recipients as they continue their important work across Australia and New Zealand," said Vikram Singh.
Broader context
Many charities and community groups face rising pressure to modernise systems while dealing with tighter funding conditions and higher demand for services. That has increased the need for external help in areas such as cyber risk management, automation and digital workflow redesign.
For organisations delivering food assistance, health-related services and family support, system failures or weak data security can have direct consequences for vulnerable users. Support in these areas can affect both day-to-day administration and service continuity.
TCS is part of the Tata Group and operates globally in IT services and consulting. The company reported consolidated revenue of more than USD $30 billion in the financial year ended in March 2026.
In Australia and New Zealand, Tech4HOPE has focused on community organisations that may not have in-house access to specialist technology advice. This year's cohort spans multiple states and territories, as well as New Zealand, with recipients working in both direct service delivery and medical research support.
Among the selected organisations, Meals on Wheels NSW supports meal delivery services, while Baby Give Back works with families in need. ANZUP Cancer Trials Group is involved in cancer trials, and Playgroup WA supports early years and family participation. Women and Mentoring, RUN DIPG and Pregnancy Help each work with communities facing distinct social or health challenges.
Tech4HOPE is designed to help these organisations address practical operational constraints while improving digital resilience and service delivery.
