TeamViewer launches advanced spatial computing in training

Fri, 28th Mar 2025

TeamViewer has introduced its advanced spatial computing solution aimed at enhancing training and onboarding processes within the manufacturing industry.

The company is showcasing its spatial computing capabilities at Hannover Messe 2025 in Germany, with a particular focus on industries such as aerospace, automotive, and mechanical engineering. These solutions leverage industrial Augmented Reality (AR) to improve global training programs.

One of the key applications of TeamViewer's technology is being demonstrated by GE Aerospace, who, as a joint customer of Siemens and TeamViewer, utilises interactive digital twins of their commercial engines. These are made accessible to aircraft technicians via AR technology, allowing for detailed and cost-effective remote training across numerous locations.

"Spatial computing opens unprecedented opportunities for the engineering sector. Through digitalised remote and on-site learning, companies can deploy resources more efficiently, mitigate shortage of skilled labor and reduce travel and costs. Together with our partners, we provide a holistic 3D user experience to bring engineering data to life and enable intuitive access for technicians and frontline workers around the world," said Oliver Steil, CEO of TeamViewer.

At the TeamViewer booth, visitors can see applications involving a Formula One race car engine and 3D models. Key product offerings include secure remote access for operational technology systems in compliance with cybersecurity mandates, and AR-based workflows designed to optimise technical field services and warehouse operations.

The solution set presented by TeamViewer also features their developing AI and Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management tools that aim to improve operational efficiency by detecting and addressing digital friction in the workplace automatically. This includes enhanced support for IT service desk teams using AI technologies.

As part of its involvement at Hannover Messe, TeamViewer is presenting their work with partners like SAP, Microsoft, and Siemens, exploring collaborative initiatives that harness AI-powered smart services and seamless IT/OT connectivity. Artus Rupalla and Sascha Ballweg from TeamViewer are among the speakers addressing these topics at the Microsoft booth.
