Techtonics Scoops Asia-Pacific Award
Tue, 1st Nov 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Greg Bickerton, CEO of Techtonics, had an inkling something was in the wind. "There was a fair amount of pressure put on me to attend the award ceremony on November 11 at the annual OpenText Content World conference in Orlando, Florida,” Bickerton told IT Brief. Founded in 1987, the New Zealand owned and operated information management services company is a Platinum OpenText partner and implements and supports a range of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions including the full range of the OpenText ECM Suite, Metastorm Business Process Management, Microsoft SharePoint, Alfresco Enterprise, and DocsCorp pdfDocs solutions. "In June this year, Techtonics successfully implemented the first OpenText Content Server 10 site in our region, having first migrated itself from the OpenText eDOCS platform to the flagship OpenText Content Server solution. "This work has allowed the team to develop a set of tools and processes to assist our clients in migrating across technologies, using the experience they have gained over more than 20 years of implementing these technologies.” The inkling proved to be founded – on November 11 Techtonics was named the Opentext ECM Regional Partner of the Year for Asia, Pacific and Japan. As well as needing to meet specific criteria around revenue, solution/technology strategy, sales, marketing, customer satisfaction, relationships and success (based on customer testimonials and references), candidates for regional Partner of the Year awards need to show highest revenue obtained, exemplify extraordinary customer service, work extremely well with all OpenText groups and show commitment to the OpenText relationship. Three global Partner of the Year awards are made each year by OpenText so the award is significant global recognition of Techtonics performance in the region. Bickerton hastens to point out that performance is not just about revenue achievement however. Client satisfaction initiatives are measured closely and Techtonics client satisfaction improvement initiatives contributed strongly to the award. "Winning this award is testament to the investment which we have made in enhancing our customer service and deploying a highly skilled consulting team with solutions which drive success in range of industries across the OpenText solution suite. We are delighted to win this award and look forward to working with OpenText to drive mutual success in the New Zealand market in the year ahead.” Graham Pullen, Vice President Asia Pacific and Japan, OpenText, said at the awards: "Techtonics and StoneBridge Systems [appointed Asia Pacific Japan Rising Star Award for 2011] have strongly reflected the strong success we are seeing globally in helping customers in a wide range of sectors, from energy to financial services to government agencies. These two partners not only have a highly effective partnership with Open Text but they are also committed to bringing real business results to customers by implementing enterprise content management solutions to address evolving business challenges.”
