Telcoinabox launches mobile-in-a-box
Mon, 13th Dec 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Telecommunications wholesaler and franchisor, Telcoinabox, has launched a new ‘mobile-in-a-box’ product to resellers and customers looking for a wholesale mobile-only solution.

Previously Telcoinabox only offered mobile as part of a full suite of services but it says that high market demand in New Zealand has forced the creation of this off-the-shelf mobile package. The new product is due to launch in the coming weeks.

“Up until now resellers only had access to mobile data and voice through the two major carriers, Telecom New Zealand and Vodafone directly,” said the company in a release today.

CEO, Shannon Fisher, explained, “The costs to buy direct from the carriers are often well beyond resellers reach, in excess of $250,000. Purchasing through Telcoinabox allows resellers to spend substantially less to access mobile giving them more time to concentrate on customer acquisition and, at the same time, gain access to competitive rates, automated customer billing and account management support. “

Telcoinabox says it’s in discussions with several organisations who are keen to add on mobile. It also says it’s on track to generate $30 million in revenue over the next three years.

“We saw an opportunity to break down the barriers to entry and let resellers be in a position to complement their businesses with much needed mobile so they can offer their customers the full spectrum of telecommunications services,” added Fisher.

The firm recently combined its New Zealand and Australian support operation into one Sydney-based centre with the goal being that of delivering better services for franchise and wholesale service providers.
