Telcoinabox plunges $2 million into expansion

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Telecommunications wholesaler and franchisor, Telcoinabox, has combined its New Zealand and Australian support operation into one Sydney-based centre.

The goal is to deliver better services for franchise and wholesale service providers.

“Our aim is to increase the number of service providers we support by 25% with minimal increase in head-count,” said New Zealand Telcoinabox CEO, Shannon Fisher. “To support this growth while achieving greater scale and cost efficiencies we are investing $2 million in streamlining systems and processes over the next two years.”

Customer service, technical support, operations, billing, finance and training will be centralised in the one office. Business development, product and account management functions will continue to be run from the respective country offices, Wellington and Sydney.

Fisher continued, “Our business plan for the new financial year 2010/2011 is to build on our product innovation and stay focused on growth while fine tuning our systems and processes so they are watertight.

“It is this very structure that we will be duplicating in our overseas operations. We are currently in discussions with a number of potential master franchises in Europe and plan to establish a European Operations Centre which we will reveal later this year.

“The opening of the new global operation brings the company one step closer towards achieving our long term vision to enable more than 10,000 entrepreneurs to start up a telco.”
