Telecom unveils new data roaming fees

Wed, 10th Nov 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

“Telecom data roaming lets you check emails, send files, browse the internet, and access some WAP and MMS services while you’re overseas,” says the company.

The XT Mobile Network lets customers on a plan roam in over 110 destinations for data, with a smaller number of destinations offered for pre-paid customers.

“For those looking to do a bit of data roaming in Australia, the USA or United Kingdom we have a great new capped rate plan where you get 100MB worth of data for only $100,” Telecom has announced.

Customers will be charged $8/MB for the first 12.5MB and the remaining 87.5MB are said to be free.

Any usage over 100MB is $8/MB and the 100MB data allowance is for the monthly billing cycle use in the selected countries.
