Fri, 11th Dec 2009
FYI, this story is more than a year old

TelstraClear, in partnership with Fujitsu will deliver all telecommunication services to Meridian, the country’s largest electricity generator.

The multi-million-dollar five year contract extends the relationship between TelstraClear and Meridian that started 12 months ago with the upgrading of its contact centres.

The transition of services to TelstraClear and Fujitsu from its previous supplier Gen-i/Telecom is expected to start in early 2010.

In a media statement head of Business and Government Michael Boggs says the contract highlights TelstraClear’s ability to partner successfully with other service providers and to deliver services and applications that improve productivity and reduce costs.

“TelstraClear has an unrelenting focus on the customer and meeting their needs in a way that does not compromise service. Meridian has first hand experience of that through our previous work with their contact centres and we are delighted now to extend similar benefits to all parts of their business,” he says.

Along with Fujitsu, which will provide ICT infrastructure support services and Transfield, TelstraClear will provide a new converged operating and delivery model.

TelstraClear will provide:

· End to end fixed and mobile communications including data, video, fixed voice, mobile voice, internet services

· End to end VoIP telephony · Internet security services by its specialist security unit, DMZGlobal
