UiPath & Deloitte launch AI testing for enterprises

Tue, 28th Apr 2026 (Today)

UiPath and Deloitte have expanded their collaboration with an AI-driven software testing offering that combines Deloitte Ascend with UiPath Test Cloud.

The new setup is designed to automate tasks such as test design and execution across software development programmes. It also includes self-healing execution that adapts to system changes and reduces the maintenance burden on testing teams.

Under the arrangement, Deloitte is embedding UiPath Autopilot for Testers and Agent Builder into its Ascend engineering and service delivery platform. The goal is to let clients use the new testing tools within existing infrastructure, data environments and business processes, rather than rebuild systems around a separate platform.

Testing is becoming a growing pressure point for large organisations as software development cycles accelerate and systems grow more complex. Manual testing and maintenance can slow releases, while production failures can create operational and financial risks.

The new service is built around autonomous and continuous testing. In practice, AI agents detect changes, generate tests and run them with less human intervention, while testers focus more on reviewing results, investigating failures and prioritising broader quality issues.

Human testers are intended to work alongside AI agents rather than be replaced by them. The model is designed to help teams spend less time on repetitive work and more on strategic decisions.

Targeting scale

The offering will be available through Ascend, Deloitte's delivery platform for engineering and transformation work. The integration also gives Deloitte teams access to more than 1,500 prebuilt testing bots and domain-specific AI agents from the outset.

The companies cited performance targets of up to 20% broader test coverage, 40% faster release cycles and 30% higher automation return on investment. They did not provide customer examples alongside those figures.

For UiPath, the announcement extends its push into testing as part of a broader automation and AI strategy. The company is best known for robotic process automation software, but has been expanding into AI agents, orchestration and testing tools for enterprise customers.

Deloitte, meanwhile, has been building platform-led consulting and delivery services that combine its advisory work with packaged technology from software partners. Integrating testing tools into Ascend gives the firm another way to standardise parts of software delivery for large clients.

Shared approach

The collaboration is framed as a response to demand from organisations seeking to modernise quality assurance without overhauling core systems. The testing tools are designed to work with existing enterprise systems and processes, an important factor for companies running large legacy technology estates.

The emphasis on self-healing execution also reflects a broader shift in software testing towards reducing maintenance of automated scripts. Traditional automated tests can break when applications change, creating rework for teams and reducing the benefits of automation.

UiPath said the system can analyse large volumes of test results and identify likely root causes of failures. The approach is intended to help teams manage the scale of modern testing operations, particularly when a single release may generate tens of thousands of test outcomes.

Gerd Weishaar, SVP of Product Management for UiPath Test Cloud, described the joint offer as part of a broader shift in testing practices. "This collaboration redefines how testing is done in the AI era, where AI agents and testers work together to deliver speed, resilience, and innovation at scale," he said. "Fusing UiPath Test Cloud with Deloitte Ascend makes autonomous, trustworthy quality a reality for every enterprise program."

Deloitte linked the new service to its own delivery model for clients. "With UiPath Test Cloud as the engine of our agentic testing capability, Deloitte Ascend can deliver broader coverage and faster time-to-value for our clients," said Chaki.
