UiPath links Databricks data & expands Deloitte tests

Tue, 28th Apr 2026 (Today)

UiPath has become a validated technology partner of Databricks, linking its automation software with Databricks' data and AI platform.

At the same time, UiPath has expanded its collaboration with Deloitte on software testing tools for large organisations. Together, the announcements focus on more closely connecting AI models, business process automation and enterprise data within day-to-day operations.

The Databricks integration is designed to help companies move from data analysis to automated action inside business processes. It connects the UiPath platform with Databricks so software agents and automated workflows can draw on structured and unstructured data, including databases, documents and logs.

The aim is to address a common problem for large businesses: data insights often remain separate from the systems and workflows where decisions are made and tasks are carried out. By placing Databricks intelligence inside automated processes, organisations can act on real-time data across teams and functions.

A central part of the integration is UiPath Maestro, which UiPath describes as a control layer for coordinating AI agents, software robots, systems, documents and people across workflows. The set-up also adds governance and audit trails for how data, AI agents and automation interact, supporting compliance requirements and oversight.

"Databricks brings proven data intelligence infrastructure. We bring proven process orchestration," said Vikram Kakumani, Deputy Chief Technology Officer, UiPath. "Together, we're delivering governed workflows where agents access enterprise data with context and control, using a combination of UiPath Maestro - orchestrating agents, robots, and people - and Databricks enterprise intelligence at the scale needed for measurable business outcomes."

The partnership reflects a broader push across the software industry to connect generative AI and data platforms with operational systems rather than keep them in separate tools. Vendors are increasingly focused on whether AI systems can be embedded into routine business processes with controls around access, traceability and decision-making.

Deloitte expansion

UiPath has also broadened its work with Deloitte through a joint software development, testing and deployment offering built on Deloitte Ascend and UiPath Test Cloud. The set-up is intended to automate manual testing tasks such as test design and reduce maintenance through self-healing execution.

According to UiPath, the testing package works with a client's existing infrastructure, sector-specific data and processes, and Deloitte's wider partner network. AI agents can be used to detect changes, generate tests and execute them autonomously, while helping teams analyse large volumes of test results to identify the causes of failures.

Embedding Autopilot for Testers and Agent Builder into Deloitte Ascend gives Deloitte teams access to more than 1,500 prebuilt testing bots and domain-specific AI agents. UiPath said this could help clients achieve up to 20% broader test coverage, 40% faster release cycles and 30% higher automation return on investment.

"This collaboration redefines how testing is done in the AI era, where AI agents and testers work together to deliver speed, resilience, and innovation at scale. Fusing UiPath Test Cloud with Deloitte Ascend makes autonomous, trustworthy quality a reality for every enterprise program," said Gerd Weishaar, Senior Vice President of Product Management for UiPath Test Cloud, UiPath.

Deloitte presented the expanded collaboration as a way to strengthen its quality engineering work for clients using its Ascend platform, linking the arrangement to faster delivery and broader testing coverage.

"With UiPath Test Cloud as the engine of our agentic testing capability, Deloitte Ascend can deliver broader coverage and faster time-to-value for our clients," said Saurayan Chaki, Quality Engineering Practise Leader, Deloitte Consulting.
