WalkMe recognised as leader in Digital Adoption Platforms

Today

WalkMe has been acknowledged as the leading provider within the Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) market, according to a recent recognition by Gartner.

This recognition highlights WalkMe's prominent role in harnessing generative AI (GenAI) capabilities to aid enterprises in technology adoption, productivity enhancement, and maximisation of return on investment in software resources.

The integration of GenAI within DAPs represents a transformative development in how businesses interact with digital tools. Dr Bob Sutor, Vice President of Emerging Technologies at The Futurum Group, remarked on this shift stating, "The integration of generative AI marks a pivotal shift in the evolution of Digital Adoption Platforms, fundamentally transforming how users engage with software." He added that WalkMe is a pioneer in utilising AI solutions which guide, anticipate, and automate workflows across applications, enhancing personalisation and efficiency while driving digital transformation.

Gartner's findings support the increasing necessity for AI-powered solutions. Their report highlights that 95% of employees consider improving their digital technology skills crucial for professional effectiveness. Despite this, 34% encounter challenges in locating necessary information or data to perform their job efficiently. This digital skills gap signifies an important area where DAPs like WalkMe can provide valuable support through their contextual and proactive functionalities.

WalkMe stands out as the only vendor among 13 analysed in Gartner's Market Guide for Digital Adoption Platforms to meet all the required vendor capabilities. These capabilities include offering AI-powered, context-sensitive, and proactive technology solutions widely applicable across today's digital workspaces.

Omdia Research praised WalkMe for introducing GenAI to the DAP market, emphasising its context sensitivity feature. This feature is designed to swiftly identify user issues, propose suitable resolutions, and potentially solve problems with minimal user input. The report highlights that WalkMe's approach leverages a vast database of user behaviour over 12 years, facilitating "push" context-aware suggestions, a departure from traditional AI models that rely on user-initiated interactions.

The endorsement of WalkMe's status in the digital adoption sector is also underscored by its USD $1.5 billion acquisition by SAP. Dan Adika, CEO and Co-Founder of WalkMe, commented, "There is perhaps no greater validation that what we've built has become essential to the enterprise than our $1.5 billion acquisition by SAP." He expressed the company's enthusiasm to continue advancing the DAP category alongside SAP, especially given their recent accomplishments such as the Globee Awards for Artificial Intelligence and AI Chatbot Innovation of the Year Award.

WalkMe's innovative strategies and strategic collaboration with SAP position the company well to further influence the evolving DAP market landscape as organisations seek comprehensive digital adoption solutions amid ongoing technological advancements.
