Thu, 10th Dec 2009
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Microsoft NZ Chief Technical Officer Brett Roberts will be leaving the company at the end of January.

Roberts is leaving the company due to a relocation of his role from Auckland to Wellington. Due to family commitments, Roberts was unable to accept the relocated role.

This comes after two Microsoft NZ restructures in 2009 in May and November respectively.

A Microsoft Spokesperson says “as a result of the current economic climate, tigher budgets and decreased revenue, globally Microsoft has had to look at its organisational structure to ensure it has the best structure to deliever on the needs of the business.”

Roberts will be looking for new challenges in the New Year.
