FYI, this story is more than a year old

After joining the company in February 2008, Chief Technology Officer Aristotle Balogh has resigned for personal reasons.

In a statement Balogh explained that the move has been tough. “While Yahoo has become a family to me in many ways over the last two years, I have a situation with my own family that is difficult and has driven me to make some changes in my life. This job was my dream job, which makes this decision very hard."

His role at Yahoo saw him in charge of the company's products organisation, responsible for the vision, strategy, design and development of Yahoo's global consumer and advertiser product portfolio.

Wall Street analysts have expressed concern over move with Standard & Poor's equity analyst Scott Kessler saying that the departure of Balogh "marks one of now multiple recent executive losses in recent months, and we have some concerns."

Balogh will leave the company in June. A replacement is expected to be announced soon, the company has said.
