Zoho introduces Projects Plus to enhance project management

Today

Zoho Corporation has introduced Projects Plus, a new platform aimed at enhancing project management capabilities for medium-sized and large organisations.

The launch of Projects Plus is marked by the integration of four of Zoho's key applications—Projects, WorkDrive, Analytics, and Sprints. It aims to enable asynchronous collaboration, facilitate seamless file management, provide real-time business intelligence, and support both Agile and Waterfall workflows.

The introduction of Projects Plus follows the success of Zoho Projects, which saw a 20% year-on-year growth in 2024. Significantly, there was a three-fold increase in migration from third-party applications, with 55% of new users switching from Microsoft Projects and JIRA.

"The Projects Plus Platform launch underscores Zoho's continued commitment to meeting customers where they are," said Evelyn McMullen, Research Manager at Nucleus Research. "For customers who are not yet ready to adopt more advanced project management capabilities, the new offering stands as an option available to them as their requirements evolve over time."

Projects Plus targets data democratisation, AI-driven processes, hybrid project management, and collaborative work management. The platform aims to consolidate the technologies typically used by Enterprise clients, such as Zoho Projects and Zoho Analytics, into a singular solution.

"Like many of our Enterprise solutions, Zoho Projects Plus was developed to deliver supreme value and meet the needs our customers had been demonstrating within our software suite, particularly between Zoho Projects and Zoho Analytics," said Raju Vegesna, Chief Evangelist at Zoho.

Projects Plus is designed to accommodate Data-Driven Project Management (DDPM), transitioning from intuition-based processes to those rooted in data and analytics. It uses predictive analysis, progress tracking, bottleneck analysis and quality control analytics to refine organisational processes.

The platform also leverages AI and machine learning capabilities via Zia, Zoho's AI engine. This enables more efficient project management by improving productivity, optimising resource allocation, and enhancing forecasting and planning accuracy.

Blair Pleasant from CommFusion Research commented, "Zoho's Projects Plus Platform takes several leading Zoho apps and combines them, while embedding native AI and security features, to provide a multi-dimension offering."

Projects Plus aims to integrate seamlessly with existing Zoho applications and third-party software like Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.

"With Zoho Projects Plus, organisations can embrace a future where project management is not just about tracking deadlines but about leveraging AI, automation, and unified workspaces to predict, optimise, and transform outcomes," said Dave Smith of InFlow Analysis.

The new platform is priced at USD $16 per user per month in the US. This represents a 27% lower cost than acquiring each element a la carte.

"Zoho's launch of Projects Plus reinforces its commitment to providing businesses across industries with a flexible and accessible project management solution," remarked Thomas Randall from Info-Tech Research Group. "With its competitive pricing and broad industry appeal, Zoho continues to strengthen its position in the market."

"The connected and collaborative work market keeps evolving with an increasing focus on individual productivity, complex project support and AI-enabled insights," said Mrinal Rai of ISG Research.

David Maldow of Let's Do Video noted, "Zoho Projects Plus platform removes the friction from within, so teams can focus on what really matters: getting things done."

Melody Brue of Moor Insights & Strategy added, "Zoho Projects Plus aims to solve this problem by offering a unified environment for data aggregation and analysis."
