Adobe teams up with Go1 to offer corporate learning courses
Adobe has struck up a partnership with online corporate training system Go1, which will enable Adobe’s Captivate Prime users to access a massive range of online learning tools.
The partnership will enable Adobe Captivate Prime users to access the Go1 content hub, which features more than 70,000 titles from more than 1,000 content partners like Harvard Manage Mentor, EdX, Skillsoft, and others.
Brisbane-based Go1 recently raised US$200 million in funding, and the deal with Adobe is the icing on the cake for the company.
Go1 vice president of partnerships and alliances, Basem Emera, says the company provides services to 3.5 million users - and with Adobe on board, Captivate Prime users will receive curated content that deals with job functions and skills including leadership, project management, and sales.
Adobe vice president and general manager of print, publish, and digital learning, Amit Dayal, says, “Digital learning has seen tremendous growth over the past years and will continue to accelerate well beyond the pandemic. Bringing Go1’s extensive catalogue of world-class content to Captivate Prime will offer users engaging learning and development experiences across any digital device.”
Adobe also recently announced the acquisition of cloud-native video collaboration platform Frame.io, for US $1.275 billion (AU$1.77 billion).
Adobe’s chief product officer and EVP of Creative Cloud, Scott Belsky, says Adobe plans to integrate Frame.io into Premiere Pro.
“Longer term, we have ambitious plans to bring advanced collaboration and groundbreaking technology, including expanded use of artificial intelligence, to video production and make every creator and creative team more collaborative and productive.
Adobe also notes that video workflows are often disjointed as creators use different tools and communication channels. The acquisition of Frame.io will change that by enabling real-time footage upload, access, and in-line stakeholder collaboration in a ‘secure and elegant experience across surfaces’.
Belsky adds, “With this acquisition, we’re welcoming an incredible customer-oriented team and adding Frame.io’s cloud-native workflow capabilities to make the creative process more collaborative, productive, and efficient to further unleash creativity for all.”
Frame.io cofounder and CEO Emery Wells says the two companies share the same vision for the future of video collaboration and creation.
“We’re excited to join Adobe to continue to drive video innovation for the world’s leading media and entertainment companies, agencies, and brands.”
The Frame.io team will join Adobe’s Creative Cloud team once the acquisition closes during the fourth quarter of Adobe’s fiscal year. Each company will operate independently until that time.
