Alarm.com launches unified smart security platform in ASEAN markets

Mon, 10th Nov 2025

Alarm.com is reinforcing its investment across Asia-Pacific with the introduction of its unified smart security ecosystem, aiming to assist organisations in integrating traditional security systems with cloud-managed technology. The company's unified platform is designed to address inefficiencies found in ASEAN markets, where businesses operate disparate alarm, video and access control solutions that can be difficult to manage and scale.

Platform integration

The new platform connects intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control, and automation technologies within one environment. Organisations can manage all security functions remotely through an application or web dashboard. The system's analytics are designed to filter out irrelevant activity, distinguishing people, vehicles, and animals. This reduces false notifications and is intended to improve response time for security incidents.

For commercial properties, the cloud-based management solution allows administrators to quickly issue or revoke access credentials across multiple sites, helping businesses control physical security with greater flexibility. The approach means organisations do not need to replace legacy alarms or undertake costly overhauls, which remains a concern in markets transitioning away from outdated infrastructure.

Legacy systems

Alarm.com's Universal Communicator (AUC) is designed to bridge legacy alarm panels with its platform. This connectivity offers an upgrade path for countries moving away from 2G and 3G networks and helps service providers extend the life of their installed base. The company is also expanding compatibility with additional security hardware to streamline new deployments and retrofits.

The Enterprise Security Console provides businesses with a single interface for overseeing multiple locations. Security teams can monitor, audit, and adjust settings across their entire network from one dashboard, giving property managers consolidated control while streamlining day-to-day operating procedures.

Dealer efficiency

On the back end, Alarm.com's infrastructure enables its network of dealers to activate accounts, analyse security data, and configure settings remotely. This is intended to help partners operate more efficiently and manage larger customer portfolios without additional resources.

"At a time when businesses in Southeast Asia are embracing digital transformation, we're helping security providers modernize their services and deliver greater value through an intelligent, unified platform," said Ian Law, Director of Business Development - Asia-Pacific, Alarm.com.

Video and analytics

Alarm.com is emphasising cloud-based intelligence and analytics through features such as integrated video verification. The system's algorithms use real-time data to determine whether security events require action, which assists in reducing nuisance alarms and provides service providers with evidence-based information to respond to incidents.

The company is expanding its global ecosystem through subsidiaries focused on remote monitoring, AI-powered analytics, and connected video solutions. These efforts support the delivery of scalable security tools that adapt to changing business and regulatory requirements in the region.

APAC focus

The expansion in Singapore and across the ASEAN region underlines Alarm.com's intent to support local partners and customers as digitalisation transforms property protection. The company reports millions of active systems globally and is focusing on providing its partners in the region with data intelligence, reliability, and scalable infrastructure.

"Our mission is to make smart security straightforward and dependable for every type of property, giving both our partners and their customers true peace of mind."
