Arinco integrates D6 Consulting to expand AI transformation focus

Mon, 27th Oct 2025

Arinco has announced the integration of D6 Consulting, forming a new AI Transformation practice and expanding its business consulting and program delivery capabilities.

The combined workforce now consists of approximately 220 employees across Australia and New Zealand, formalising an existing relationship between the two companies. The integration brings both teams together under a single organisational structure, providing clients with a single partner for business consulting, program delivery, and technical services spanning Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.

D6 Consulting was established in July 2022 and has developed a reputation for strengths in project and program management, business analysis, and business consulting, especially in AI, cloud, and data transformation projects. The combination with Arinco is expected to broaden the scope of consulting and technical delivery services available to organisations across the region.

Business synergy

Chris Padgett, Chief Executive Officer at Arinco, commented on the development, stating:

"We're pleased to welcome the D6 Consulting team and their exceptional capability in consulting and program delivery into Arinco. This integration combines business consulting and technical expertise in one team. As Microsoft focuses more on AI-led transformation, this positions us to support our customers with both the business and technology outcomes they need and deliver larger, more complex programs end-to-end."

Joanne Spencer, previously Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of D6 Consulting, will assume the role of AI Transformation Practise Lead at Arinco as part of the integration process. She remarked:

"Joining Arinco is a natural next step for our team. We have already worked closely together on many customer engagements, and this integration gives us the scale and platform to help even more organisations achieve their transformation goals."

Customer impact

Arinco indicated that the integration will enhance its capability to deliver programme delivery and business consulting services alongside its existing expertise in AI, data, cloud solutions, digital applications, security, and modern work. The company's official statement noted that the expanded team reflects Arinco's continued commitment to providing a comprehensive suite of solutions under one organisational structure for clients navigating digital and AI-led transformations.

Both companies had collaborated on several client projects before the integration, establishing an effective working relationship that helped ease the integration of their teams. The integration is designed to streamline delivery for current and future clients and enhance the overall offering available to organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

Recognition and momentum

In 2024, Arinco was recognised as Microsoft Australia Partner of the Year, reflecting its performance in delivering innovation and customer solutions using the Microsoft suite of technologies. The organisation continues to invest in broadening its national footprint and expanding its catalogue of digital and AI-driven transformation services, citing growing demand for such capabilities across various industry sectors.

The acquisition of D6 Consulting takes effect from 1 November 2025, with integration activities reported to be already underway. Clients and partners of both companies have been assured of a "smooth transition and continued delivery of high-quality, outcome-driven Microsoft solutions."
