Auckland Museum has combined two Matrox M9188 PCI Express x16 octal-monitor graphics cards, in a bid to drive digital signage content across a four-by-four, 16-monitor video wall.

Supporting up to eight high-resolution monitors on a single card, the multi-display solution was configured with a second M9188 board within the same system to provide the museum with a canvas capable of promoting featured exhibitions and galleries on a grander scale.

The museum contracted Wallflower Advanced Digital Signage to deploy a captivating digital signage installation and Westcon Group NZ, the sole distributor for Matrox Graphics Inc in the country, are pleased with the in-house design expertise.

The Museum says it was looking to modernise its entrance's static information display with a multi-monitor backdrop that would instantly grab and hold the visitor's attention.

As a result, the solution allows system operators to manage the high-resolution imagery and video to produce higher-quality content.
