Saviynt, Chillisoft partner to boost NZ identity security
Saviynt has selected Chillisoft as its official distribution partner in New Zealand, aiming to enhance its identity security presence across the region's enterprise and government sectors.
Chillisoft, recognised as a prominent New Zealand cybersecurity software distributor, will support Saviynt's efforts to deliver cloud-native identity and governance platform solutions to local businesses. The partnership comes as the threat landscape in New Zealand intensifies, with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) reporting a 58% rise in cyber incidents in Q3 2024, amounting to 1,905 reported cases.
Among these incidents, phishing and credential harvesting attacks surged by 70%, while unauthorised access nearly doubled, underscoring a notable increase in the volume and sophistication of attacks. Given these trends, Saviynt's collaboration with Chillisoft is positioned as a strategic step to broaden access to identity-focused security solutions when organisations seek more robust risk mitigation strategies.
James Ross, Regional Vice President for Australia and New Zealand at Saviynt, highlighted a shifting perspective on identity management within New Zealand organisations.
"We are seeing a real shift in how organisations across New Zealand think about identity. It's no longer just an IT concern; it has become central to enabling secure innovation and building trust in today's digital-first world. With increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and regulations tightening, identity is now the new security perimeter. More and more Kiwi organisations are coming to us looking for smarter, more agile ways to modernise their identity programs. At Saviynt, we are excited to support this transformation and work alongside partners like Chillisoft to help New Zealand businesses stay secure while they grow and evolve," Ross said.
This alliance will facilitate more targeted support and training for partner resellers in New Zealand, aligning with Saviynt's strategy to provide solutions that help enterprises maintain compliance, increase operational efficiency, and adapt quickly to regulatory changes.
"Our partnership with Chillisoft is key in driving channel-led growth and building a stronger partner community in New Zealand. We are confident that with their cybersecurity expertise and proven track record in launching global brands in the region, we will see rapid adoption of Saviynt's identity security platform across enterprise and government sectors alike," Reno Maglitto, Channel Director for Australia and New Zealand at Saviynt, said.
Chillisoft brings considerable experience to the partnership, with an established network of over 2,000 partners and a portfolio spanning enterprise security solutions. The collaboration is set to leverage Chillisoft's comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity challenges facing businesses in New Zealand and the Pacific region.
"We are excited to bring Saviynt's cutting-edge identity security platform to our network of resellers and partners. Identity is the new security perimeter, and Saviynt's cloud-native architecture provides the flexibility and scalability that today's businesses need. We look forward to working closely with the Saviynt team to deliver real business value and innovation to our customers," Alex Teh, Group Chief Executive Officer at Chillisoft, commented, expressing optimism about the collaboration.
The distribution agreement will enable Chillisoft to offer Saviynt's cloud-based solutions, supporting organisations as they navigate increasingly complex cyber threats and evolving compliance requirements. Training and enablement initiatives are expected to play a core role in equipping partners to meet the rising demand for advanced identity governance tools.
Saviynt has recently launched initiatives like Saviynt University to address the cybersecurity skills gap, emphasising free training and professional development. The partnership with Chillisoft intends to reinforce these efforts in New Zealand, supporting practitioner education and technology roll-out.
