Commvault has announced the appointment of David Rajkovic (pictured below) as ANZ area vice president, sales reporting to Callum Eade, APJ vice president and managing director.

Rajkovic will be responsible for accelerating growth across the entire Australia and New Zealand region and expanding market share.

A veteran of the ANZ technology sector, with over 20 years of experience and a proven track record in sales expansion, Rajkovic brings specific expertise in service and solution delivery of new technology innovation.

Rajkovic established this through multiple regional sales and technology leadership roles at Oracle, Citrix and Dimension Data, by building high performing teams responsive to organisational realignment and the rapid digital transformation requirements prevalent across ANZ enterprise sector.

This appointment of Rajkovic represents Commvault's commitment to the ANZ market, through the investment in local talent.

Rajkovic is tasked to deliver the cloud-enabled, future-ready reality of the next generation of intelligent data management experience and value required by all organisations across ANZ, through Commvault's products and expanded, SaaS-enabled, solution portfolio.

"I am honoured to take this opportunity to lead the talented Commvault ANZ team. We are recognised as a global industry leader for our innovative portfolio – having been named Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Center Backup - Recovery Solutions for the 9th straight year – and the team has an invigorating culture with well-established and strong, customer relationships built on proven service delivery. These are critical foundations to enable us to expand across the region." said Rajkovic.

"I look forward to leading the team and collaborating closely with our partners as we deliver against our strategic Simplify, Innovate and Execute objectives and create our next phase of growth and market leadership in ANZ.

Australia and New Zealand is a priority market, Commvault states, as cloud adoption across the region leads global averages. Recently, it launched Metallic in ANZ, a Commvault venture offering SaaS-based data management and protection.

"ANZ is a critical market for Commvault APJ, we continue to invest and deepen our commitment there with investment in key local talent. We are proud that ANZ, where we have a growing and mature customer base, was the first market chosen to launch our exciting Metallic Venture outside of North America." says Eade.

"I am excited to have David, a proven and well-respected leader in the industry to lead Commvault ANZ into the future.  David will bring immense value to our team, partners and customers in ANZ as we tap the growing SaaS market opportunities and be a critical member of the APJ regional leadership team as we drive to simplify, secure and unlock the value of our customers' data.
