Cradlepoint unveils X10 5G router for swift, secure business internet

Mon, 19th Feb 2024

Supplier of cloud-delivered LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions, Cradlepoint, has unveiled its latest product, the X10 5G router. The development aims to grant service providers a comprehensive fixed wireless access (FWA) service tailor-made for small to medium-sized businesses, makeshift sites, and the remote workforce, the company states.

The X10 5G router is designed to guarantee robust and speedy 5G connectivity. This enables service providers to ensure immediate connectivity for their business clients either via the mobile network or as an alternative mobile connection. The new 5G FWA solution allows businesses to connect swiftly and safely to the internet, reducing the possibility of network downtime. As a consequence, service providers can offer speedy, reliable, sturdy, and more secure business internet options, compared to other current market solutions.

With an anticipated 80% of FWA connections being 5G by 2028, businesses of all sizes are set to increasingly desire tailored solutions from their service providers. The enterprise-grade yet affordable X10 5G router stands as a testament to Cradlepoint's dedication to the increasing FWA Business Internet solutions sector and will aid service providers in meeting growing demand. For service providers, the opportunities include:

Attracting FWA customers across various markets due to the cost-efficiency and adaptability of the X10 Router, which appeals to small and medium-sized businesses across numerous sectors and employments.

The option of upselling security, Quality of Service, and managed services. The Cradlepoint X10 router will be complimented with the NetCloud Exchange advanced service architecture. This allows providers to build and offer layered service plans and to further distinguish their FWA Business Internet services.

Improved operational efficiency and diminishing operational costs as a result of cloud management through NetCloud. This initiative allows service providers to effectively and efficiently support their managed services on a larger scale, whilst robust APIs offer flexibility to include X10 management in their existing management systems.

Senior Vice President of Service Provider Sales at Cradlepoint, Tony Puopolo, stated: "Cradlepoint continues to innovate, enabling our service provider community to give their customers the best 5G experience."

Puopolo continues, "With the enormous growth of 5G FWA, we're giving service providers the tools that enable higher levels of network reliability, visibility, and overall quality of experience, which allows them to differentiate their business offerings."

The Cradlepoint X10 router is available for immediate purchase. The product will make its debut appearance at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, from February 26 to 29, 2024.
