Deputy launches Analytics+ to boost real-time insights for shifts

Today

Deputy has introduced Deputy Analytics+, a new business intelligence and reporting tool aimed at providing shift-based businesses with real-time insights and enhanced operational visibility.

Deputy Analytics+ is designed to address the challenges faced by companies relying on hourly shift workers, particularly those experiencing increased labour costs and evolving scheduling complexity. The platform delivers advanced reporting capabilities, allowing users to access interactive dashboards, employ dynamic filters, drill down into data points, and create custom-built reports within an interface described as intuitive and easy to navigate.

The new solution is positioned to help business owners and managers derive actionable insights from workforce data without needing expertise in data science. Deepesh Banerji, Chief Product Officer at Deputy, stated, "Shift-based businesses have been underserved by traditional analytics tools that were never designed with them in mind. We built Analytics+ specifically for this sector, where every hour counts, schedules change fast, and compliance matters."

"Labour costs are the biggest expense line for this sector, it's critical that customers have insights and visibility into their biggest investment area. With Analytics+, we're giving these businesses the power to make smart, data-driven decisions without the overhead, delays, or costs that come with other enterprise reporting solutions."

The introduction of real-time, self-serve analytics is highlighted as essential for shift-based businesses, reflecting industry trends such as rising wage expenses and increasing complexity in employee scheduling. According to Deputy, Analytics+ enables the tracking of key workforce metrics, such as shift performance, attendance, absenteeism, and labour optimisation trends. Users can create and distribute custom reports using a drag-and-drop interface tailored to their specific operational needs.

Scheduled report delivery is one of the features included, with automation capabilities enabling managers to send updates even to colleagues who do not directly use the Deputy platform. The tool also provides visibility into matters of compliance, employee performance, and profitability, offering pre-built reports and auditing utilities to support business oversight.

Analytics+ is engineered for scalability, catering to a range of organisational sizes from individual restaurants to large franchises. The software is intended to equip teams with the information needed to enhance efficiency, employee engagement, and financial performance.

Silvija Martincevic, CEO at Deputy, commented, "Our customers want clarity, not complexity. We built Analytics+ specifically for shift-based businesses to help them operate more profitably, make smarter decisions in real time, and turn labour efficiency into a competitive advantage. This is about empowering every manager with the visibility and right information — at the right time — to move from reactive management to proactive, insight-driven leadership."

Deputy Analytics+ is being made available globally as a paid add-on option for existing Deputy users. The platform's core analytics features, including a library of pre-built reports, visualisations, and drill-down functionality, remain accessible at no additional cost to all users.
