FYI, this story is more than a year old

The first details of Epson’s new ultra short throw projector have been released.

According to the company, the Epson 450Wi is a “world's-first” that will make the walls in every meeting, class, training and boardroom a potential networked touch-screen multimedia resource.

Epson has said that the 450Wi is an intelligent and flexible presentation and learning tool that turns any smooth, hard surface into a versatile and functional communication tablet.

A digital infra-red pen will complement the traditional keyboard and mouse approach to allow full interactivity with the display.

“Because no special display surface is needed the Epson 450Wi has few constraints on image size and provides one of the largest interactive touch-screens available,” the company said.

The 450Wi is being called the flagship model of the firm’s ultra-short throw projector range that includes the EB-410W, the EB-450We, and the EB-460e.

The EB-450We RRP comes in at $3,799 (inc GST), the EB-460e RRP is $4,199 (inc GST) and the interactive EB-450Wi RRP will cost $4,799 (inc GST).
