GoPro has announced the launch of a macOS desktop version of its popular mobile application, Quik. Alongside this development, the company has unveiled a new addition to its subscription offerings: a Premium+ tier that provides users with advanced features and benefits.
The Quik desktop app is designed for integration with its existing mobile version, creating seamless cross-platform editing. It adheres to the same vision of empowering content creators on various experience levels with innovative features such as beat sync and auto-highlight editing.
Further, GoPro has enhanced its subscription services with the introduction of the Premium+ tier. For NZD $199.99 a year, it includes HyperSmooth Pro video stabilisation and an extra 500GB of cloud storage. This new tier represents a step up from the original NZD $79.99 subscription tier, now rebranded as Premium.
As a free addition for GoPro subscribers, the Quik desktop app offers practical features such as cross-platform editing tools, unlimited cloud storage for GoPro footage, and a feature for auto-highlight videos, among others.
