HP unveils new devices and solutions to enhance hybrid workplaces
Wed, 27th Jul 2022
FYI, this story is more than a year old

HP has introduced a variety of new devices and solutions, which they say are designed to connect people and provide better experiences when dealing with hybrid work.

The company's newly enhanced portfolio includes HP Presence Meeting Space solutions and additions to the HP Elite Dragonfly and EliteBook series. All of these solutions are protected by HP Wolf Security software and services, giving customers more assurance when it comes to device security.

With hybrid work becoming more and more normalised, there are also more challenges that need to be addressed. Research has found that 56% of employees globally feel disconnected from their business due to remote working. Many have also said they lack the right technology to take them through hybrid work.

HP managing director ANZ Michael Boyle says that as employees continue the need to gain control over their work, HP's solutions and technology will help provide successful outcomes for all involved.

"An empowered employee seeks to continually grow their careers while having control over where and how they work – they want to work for organisations that can support this," he says.

"HP's new portfolio unlocks the power of hybrid work, so organisations can offer employees the best experiences from feeling truly connected, engaged and secure in their most productive environments."

Among the new solutions, HP Presence Meeting Space Solutions act as a suite of scalable, bundled options with hardware and services the company says will suit meeting spaces of any size.

These solutions can interact intuitively with users to provide a better meeting experience and deliver real-time analytics back to IT. HP's PC security innovations, such as cyber threat protection and camera privacy features, are also utilised in this process for better peace of mind.

Each HP Presence Meeting Space solutions come with HP Presence Mini PC, an HP Presence Control Centre, colour-coded cables, mounting equipment, and a step-by-step application.

The HP Elite Dragonfly G3 with Windows 11 is another HP device that is set to help mobile professionals enhance their work. It is powered by 12th Gen Intel processors and weighs under 1kg.

The 13.5" clamshell design gives users more screen with a taller 3:2 aspect screen ratio to raise productivity. Audio by Bang - Olufsen and four discrete amps work together to create better sound, and HP Dynamic Voice Leveling automatically optimises voice clarity.

AI-based noise reduction 2.0 also enhances audio so people can be heard even when wearing a mask.

HP says they have also focused on the device battery life, with the intelligent battery analysing work patterns to optimise power consumption.

Similarly, the company's HP EliteBook 600 G9 Series PCs allow easy standardisation into existing IT environments while giving users the tools they need to work from almost anywhere.

The HP EliteOne 800 G9 AiO Desktop PC, powered by HP Presence, can also act as a command centre for consumers, with optimal collaboration features and a small footprint that the company says will suit home offices.

Other variations and devices are also now available.

All the new devices are protected by HP Wolf Pro Security, which integrates Threat Containment based on micro-virtualisation, malware prevention based on next-gen anti-virus, and identity protection. These are all integrated with HP's hardware security capabilities to deliver easily manageable security.
