John Milionis, widely admired for his strategic leadership, has been appointed as the new Channel Sales Director at Fortinet Australia. In a globalised world where cybersecurity threats evolve at a rapid pace, Milionis will apply his robust experience in the technology sector to secure the company's borders while enhancing the outcomes for Fortinet's channel partners and customers.

Having a track record spanning over two decades, Milionis has demonstrated his adeptness in driving strategic partnerships and business development in the tech space. He specialises in supporting strategic channel growth and development, with a unique capability to understand the dynamics of this highly complex industry and to build robust relationships with key stakeholders.

Milionis has held crucial roles in start-ups as well as established conglomerates across Australia, New Zealand and other parts of Asia-Pacific and Japan. He was previously the Director, Head of Channels and Alliances for ANZ at Zscaler and before that the enterprise channel director for ANZ at Forcepoint and the Channel Director for APJ at Riverbed Technology. His firsthand experience and deep-rooted understanding of the industry has shaped him into a strategic leader able to both conceive and execute high-level plans effectively.

Dale Nachman, the Country Manager for Australia at Fortinet, described Milionis as the "ideal candidate" for the role, given his extensive channel experience across ANZ and APJ. Nachman says, "John’s depth of experience affords him a unique perspective and ability to deepen and strengthen Fortinet’s trusted channel partner relationships while empowering customers to understand and better address their cybersecurity pain points as the landscape rapidly evolves."

Nachman also highlighted that Fortinet was eager to see Milionis bring his unique blend of skills to the company, particularly in relation to developing strategic relationships that drive growth and transformation. "The team is excited for John to join Fortinet and looks forward to seeing him thrive alongside its channel community," Nachman added.

Upon his appointment, Milionis noted the exciting yet challenging nature of the rapidly changing cybersecurity landscape. "I’m excited to join a company like Fortinet that sits on the forefront of innovation, and to help empower its channel partners to deliver exceptional security outcomes for organisations through our Engage Partner Program," states Milionis. He expressed his commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, aiming to set new benchmarks for success.

To meet the evolving customer challenges resulting from hybrid IT environments and work-from-anywhere models, as well as the developing threat landscape, Fortinet offers its Engage Partner Program, focused on enabling unique growth opportunities. In partnership with Fortinet's extensive portfolio centred around the Fortinet Security Fabric, the program aims to secure the entire infrastructure of its customers from data centres to the cloud.

In a bid to differentiate from its competitors, Fortinet also assists its partners in cultivating productive, predictable, and rewarding relationships. The Engage Partner Program by Fortinet facilitates its partners in accruing the essential industry knowledge to bolster business opportunities, deliver digital acceleration for customers through customisable programs, and fast-track partner growth.
