Litera partners with Fireman to enhance AI tool integration

Litera, a provider of legal technology solutions, has entered a strategic partnership with legal consultancy Fireman.

This partnership aims to facilitate faster and more efficient integration of Litera's Foundation software into firms' workflows. Litera and Fireman intend to give users enhanced control and customisation capabilities over powerful AI-driven tools.

Fireman, part of the Epiq Company, is known for its expertise in legal consultancy. Fireman's Managing Director, Kieron Champion, stated, "Our work with clients to implement Foundation and continuously extend and improve it to meet more sophisticated use cases, reinforces our view that it offers enormous value to firms. Fireman's proven methodology and deep subject matter expertise means our clients are assured of a successful implementation, which is both sustainable and scalable."

Champion also highlighted the potential transformation in firms' abilities to leverage their experience throughout the matter lifecycle by capturing market data at scale and with accuracy. "We look forward to deepening our partnership with Litera and drawing on our experience with Foundation to support firms with their exploration and use of Litera's related products such as Dragon," he added.

Litera's Chief Executive Officer, Avaneesh Marwaha, emphasised the importance of control in the implementation of AI tools, saying, "We've heard our customers and recognise the need for control when it comes to the implementation of powerful, AI-driven tools like Foundation."

He further explained that the partnership with Fireman is set to provide both robust technology and efficient delivery. "Through our unique partnership with Fireman, whose expertise is proven and sought after by firms of all shapes and sizes, we can provide the best of both worlds – robust technology delivered quickly and efficiently. This strategic partnership allows us to supply a heightened level of customisation, seamless project management, and dedicated implementation strategy for firms adopting Foundation based on their unique culture, data systems, and goals," Marwaha stated.

Litera plans to release further details on the partnership and collaborative efforts with Fireman in early 2025. Further updates and product innovations are anticipated as the partnership progresses.
