Microsoft likely to focus big on cloud at Tech-Ed NZ
Thu, 19th May 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The Microsoft Tech-Ed North America conference is wrapping up at the end of this week, but it's clear that Microsoft is pushing its cloud computing services in a big way - and if that's anything to go by, we can expect more of the same at the Kiwi Tech-Ed conference in August.

In his keynote speech, Robert Wahbe focussed almost solely on Microsoft's cloud offerings and said it was one of two major strategies (the other being devices) that are shaping the industry and Microsoft's investment strategy.

Tech-Ed New Zealand is offering sessions on 14 'technical tracks' that cover Microsoft technologies and while cloud computing makes up only one of those tracks, its sure to be the most interesting one.

Members of the Microsoft Partner Network also have access to the Microsoft Cloud Essentials pack, a set of technical and business resources to help understand Microsoft cloud offerings.
